Air Peace (P4) have rubbished reports of an industrial action by their pilots as reported by various Nigerian social outlets.
The Nigerian airline released a statement, saying its pilots are not on strike as claimed by the social media channels. Air Peace said in a statement: “The attention of Air Peace has been brought to a publication which is circulating on social media, purporting that our pilots are on strike.”
Air Peace added that, “The information is not only unfounded but also mischievously orchestrated by its source to portray the airline in a bad light. This is to categorically state that our pilots are not on strike and nothing can warrant such development.”
Since the resumption of domestic flights in Nigeria, Air Peace has been operating domestic flights and during the lockdown period it performed several cargo and repatriation flights.
Air Peace urged its passengers and the public not to disregard such news. “Members of the public are advised to ignore such publication as our pilots have not downed tools,” read the statement.
The statement ended with Air Peace promising to continue providing best-in-class flight services while observing the highest safety standards.
