Gabonese airline Afrijet (6F) has obtained the International Air Transport Association (IATA) Operational Safety Audit certification commonly referred to IOSA Certification.

The IOSA certification was awarded to the airline after an audit was conducted by IATA auditors. With a two-year validity period the IOSA certification helps in cementing Afrijet as a competent operator, through adhering and complying to international standards.

The IOSA audit covers eight areas of operations for the airline and these include flight operations, ground services, corporate organization, flight regulations, safety and maintenance procedures, operational safety, cabin operations and freight activities.

Chief Executive Officer of Afrijet, Marc Gaffajoli said, “We are happy to join the group of 43 African operators certified by IOSA (including 25 national companies). IOSA is of course a guarantee for us to improve the level of safety, but it is also a key to forging Pan-African commercial alliances and beyond, for the benefit of Gabonese passengers.”

Afrijet operates to a number of routes from its hub in Libreville. The airline offers services to destinations such as Franceville, Sao Tome and Port Gentil operating both ATR 72 and 42.
