Kenya Airports Company has announced the holding of 44 Dorper Rams from South Africa at Jomo Kenyatta’s new Animal Holding facility.
44 Dorper Rams arrived in Nairobi from Johannesburg on a Singapore Airlines flights. The live cargo is being held at the new Animal Holding facility at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport awaiting onward processing.
Kenya Airport made the announcement through its LinkedIn page, “In other news, we are thrilled to facilitate the holding of 44 Dorper Rams that arrived from South Africa earlier today via Singapore Airlines. This precious cargo is being held at our very own Animal Holding facility at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport”.
The airports company added “We recently refurbished the facility to hold more animals and enhance transhipment of live animals via JKIA. We are targeting to be a Centre of Excellence for Individual Validators (CEIV) in Live Animals Handling – an IATA best practice accreditation”.
