Mozambican national carrier, Linhas Aereas de Mozambique (LAM) Airlines will from 26 August 2020 launch weekly flights from Maputo to Lisbon, Portugal.
According to a statement by the airline, the weekly intercontinental flight will depart Lisbon on Tuesdays at 20:00 local time and Maputo on Wednesdays at 23:55 local time.
LAM will operate the route using an Airbus A330-300 aircraft with 278 seats in a two configuration with 23 Business Class and 255 Economy Class seats. Mozambique and Portugal have strong economic ties which LAM will leverage on by offering cargo services on these flights.
“These flights will enable people to travel between Mozambique and Portugal, as well as beyond to Europe and the rest of the world. It is important to pay attention to the entry rules of Mozambique as well as European Union, in relation to the pandemic”, said LAM General Director, João Pó Jorge.
Tickets for this route are available for sale from LAM ticketing offices, LAM website and at travel agencies.
