The African Airlines Association (AFRAA) has announced that dates for the 2020 AFRAA Annual General Assembly and Summit. This year’s edition of the AFRAA AGA will be held on the 9th and 10th of November virtually.
AFRAA said in a statement: “Careful consideration in consultation with the President of the Association and host of the AGA as well as the leadership of the Executive Committee has been made on the dates and format of the 52nd AFRAA Annual General Assembly & Summit. We are pleased to announce that the 52nd AFRAA AGA will take place on 09 and 10 November 2020 in virtual format.”
Since the global outbreak of the Coronavirus early this year, a number of events and conferences have been either cancelled or rescheduled to 2021; while some events have gone the digital route of virtual conferencing and exhibition. The 52nd AFRAA AGA will be held virtually ensuring African airlines to proffer for solutions in addressing and recovering for this pandemic.
AFRAA added: “The AGA will be hosted through a state-of-the-art conferencing application that will ensure the experience is memorable and exciting, mark your diaries accordingly. We endeavour to create an enabling environment for the air transport fraternity to meet and network”.
The continental body further announced that the 2021 edition of the 53rd AGA and Summit will be held in Angola by TAAG Linhas Aéreas de Angola and its hosting partners.
