Fastjet Zimbabwe (FN) has extended its Flexible Booking Change Policy until the 15th of March 2021.
The extension comes in the wake of the extended travel restrictions in Zimbabwe and South Africa due to the lockdown pandemic.
In a statement, the airline said: “We understand that as traveller confidence recovers, some customers may either not be ready to decide upon their next trip, or may be holding bookings they have not been able to realise yet due to the existing restrictions. In support of our customers, the airline has extended the flexible booking policy to both existing and new bookings made, for travel up to and including the 15 March 2021.”
The extension provides customers with unused tickets and those that would want to book the flexibility to change their bookings until the 15th of March 2021. During this period changes are done with no fees and fare differences.
“The flexible booking policy is essential to the “Travel with Confidence” incentive recently introduced in support of operations on the airline’s domestic and international network once air travel is permitted to resume as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. It is a demonstration of Fastjet’s commitment to adding flexibility and choice in support of a return to air travel,” the airline added.
During the lockdown period, fastjet has been performing repatriation flight between Zimbabwe and South Africa. In addition, the value-based airline has partnered with Zimbabwean tourism players in promoting domestic tourism.
