African Airlines Association (AFRAA) has announced the dates and format of its sessions for the Annual General Assembly and Summit will be held digitally in November 2020.
In a statement released on Thursday 27 August 2020, AFRAA said: “Careful consideration in consultation with the President of the Association and host of the AGA as well as the leadership of the Executive Committee has been made on the dates and format of the 52nd AFRAA Annual General Assembly & Summit. We are pleased to announce that the 52nd AFRAA AGA will take place on 09 and 10 November 2020 in virtual format.”
AFRAA added that the sessions on both the 9th and 10th of November 2020 will be done virtually over a 3-hour period. “The AGA will be hosted through a state-of-the-art conferencing application that will ensure the experience is memorable and exciting, mark your diaries accordingly. We endeavour to create an enabling environment for the air transport fraternity to meet and network,” AFRAA added.
The 2021 AFRAA AGA will be held in Angola with TAAG Angola Airlines and Angolan stakeholders hosting the conference. AFRAA Secretariat will release more information regarding the registration and the digital platform that will be used for the annual event.
“AFRAA continues to support the industry in the restart and journey to recovery. We remain united with all our members, partners and industry stakeholders during these unprecedented times. We look forward to your participation at an exciting virtual edition of the AFRAA AGA in November 2020,” the AFRAA concluded.
