Zimbabwe national carrier Air Zimbabwe has resumed domestic flights for the first time since March 2020.
Air Zimbabwe announced the resumption of flights after the lifting of travel restrictions by the authorities.
“The domestic flight schedule features HRE/BUQ/VFA/HRE morning schedule and HRE/VFA/BUQ/HRE in the evening on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.” The daily rotation allows passengers to connect from Bulawayo to Victoria Falls in the morning Victoria Falls to Bulawayo in the evenings.
Today the airline launched the service using a Boeing 737-200 aircraft that recently underwent a C–Check in Harare. The 31 year old aircraft has been in service for the past three decades.
During the lockdown period, Air Zimbabwe performed a series of repatriation flights to the Far-East in partnership with Canadian based firm Maple Aviation. The airline also performed covid19 medical cargo flights from Beijing to Harare.
